That probably is because there are so many things around you screaming for your attention and consuming your energy most of the days, that over time, you might have lost yourself in the quest of putting everyone and everything else first before you.

Maybe just from time to time, there are still things in life which occasionally overwhelm you. That's hard to avoid.

 

But having said that, it's important that you continue to intentionally make time to pause and do something for your continual wellness. There are many things you can try to help yourself stay at your best mental, physical, and emotional states. I want to show you how and I am willing to walk with you in this Self Love journey you are about to experience at FaithfulSalt.com.

Let's start by looking at your top focus area:

I know, it's super hard to finally get to bed with our phone and everything else aside before the clock strikes 12 at midnight. We all wished to have more hours in a day. But do you believe me if I said, even if we had 26 hours a day, it wouldn't take long until we tuned into sleeping past the 26th hour? Don't undermine the power of a healthy sleeping habit. Pigmentations, acnes, and aging are just the few things that grow more rapidly when we sleep past midnight, along with our hormones going crazy.

So what to do next about this?

Your first Self Love Experience related to your sleep should be none other than restoring your sleeping cycle. It does sound cliché and boring, but this boring discipline will only do you good, not only to your energy level waking up every day but also to your body, beauty, heart, and mind.

 Your Sleep 

One advice I have heard the most from my skincare and body beauty advisers would be this: Women are made of water. Sufficient hydration is the foundation of any successful face or body beauty efforts.

For example, when our facial skin is not sufficiently hydrated, applying whitening or anti-aging skincare products is like plowing on a dry soil – it gets rough and destroys roots. Our sufficiently hydrated facial skin is able to naturally push white heads outwards and minimize our pores. Of course, drinking plain water is the easiest way to hydrate our entire body from within.

So what to do next about this?

Your first Self Love Experience related to your water is, yes - intentionally drink more plain water every day (except for medical reasons that you have been advised to control your water intake like for kidney patients, among others), more during the day time and less especially near your bed time. Then, be diligent in applying body lotion at least on your arms and legs every time after shower. Skin experts have suggested that our skin starts drying after around 2 minutes getting out of shower. Now on your facial skincare, if you have been troubled by your facial skin condition in the past month, then you should really consider reviewing your skincare routine and the products you have been putting on your face.

You have been hurt, and sometimes it could be a downward spiral that pulls you down, and you get stuck at rock bottom seasons after seasons. It seems to always be easier for you to assume the worst case scenarios rather than looking at the bright side of things.

You deserve to feel sexy & beautiful again. Exercising might be challenging to get started with and to sustain, but there are many ways of incorporating more movement into your everyday life to help you be more active.

So what to do next about this?

Walking would be your immediate Self Love Experience related to your body confidence. If you have a digital watch that counts your steps, aim to achieve at least 5,000 steps each day. A 20-minute simple after-work walk nearby where you work or live can help you achieve that easily. If you are up for something more fun, dancing would be your answer. It hits the sweet spot between body confidence and exercising. You are going to feel amazing with this new experience.  Your Body 

Maintaining healthy diet shouldn't feel stressful. If there is something you really love eating but it does no good for your health, you don't have to force yourself to cut it out totally especially when you crave for it. You can still have it but in a smaller amount, and in a lesser frequency. That way, you won't feel deprived of what you like which could lead to more eating disorder. For example, if you really love to have that hokkaido cheese cake, it's okay to still allow yourself to buy a slice once a week, and instead of finishing the entire slice in one go, you take a few spoons and pause. Share it with someone else or pack the remaining cake into a take-away box and bring it home. See if your craving for it comes again tomorrow then you can dig in 1-2 spoons again tomorrow, while the cake is still fresh.

So what to do next about this?

Your first Self Love Experience related to your food can be as focus as mindfully reducing your sugar intake each day. Opt for less sugar when you order a beverage. You might want to cut down on your sauce intake if you like sauces, because most sauces have so much sugar in them. The recommended sugar intake per day for an adult woman is only 6 teaspoons or 24 grams. And a documentary found that we consume an average of over 40 teaspoons of sugar each day - sugar really does hide in most of the food and beverage we consume daily so watch out! Check food labels and do simple math to help you stay within 24 grams per day as best as you can. You will start feeling the good difference after a few days of reducing your sugar intake.

 Your Food 

Has there been a small, still voice calling you back to God? Don't worry about not having enough time to pray or read the Bible, whether or not you will fail to continue your devotional time with God after you start it today because of your hectic schedule, don't worry about having to search for the right devotional material to get started. What matters is your willing heart to avail yourself for a moment of quality time with God in His presence.
